...what's a shrine?
glad you asked. i don't think there's an official definition, but when a webmaster and a special interest
love each other very much...
jokes aside, web shrines are like a scrapbook page devoted to something you're knowledgable about. they're a
great way to learn about something you never thought you would want to learn about. the devotion to the topic
is sometimes more interesting than the topic itself. i don't know. it's just fun to see people get excited
about obscure things.
s0me c00l shrines...
here's some shrines i love that i didn't make. i learned a lot. you might, too.
my shrines...
most of these are under construction. in fact, this is more of a wishlist of topics i'm going
to make shrines on. boy, do i love to ramble.
- greezed lightnin': a schwarzkopf shuttle loop roller coaster that made its way
from Astroworld to a random field in Lubbock. i found out what happened to it, and it's kind of a neat story
about a special roller coaster that will never run again.
- water w0nderland: picture a waterpark in the middle of the oilfield. the ill-fated and
strangely-located waterpark a few miles from my house was torn down recently. i'm sad about it. it has a rich
history i'd love to talk about.
- my leg0 netw0rk: i feel like i hallucinated this knock-off lego social media site from
my childhood. the wiki says i didn't. i want to write about it because it feels like a fever dream now.
- batman: the animated series: it may be pretty well-respected, but i'm probably its
biggest fan ever. there will never be another cartoon like this one.
- pers0nal enc0unters with gh0sts: what it says on the tin.
- h0mestuck: don't shoot me.
whiplash warning...
these sites will look very different than this site. they're supposed to. you will have to leave the vampire basement
for a while, but that's part of the experience. you won't die, but you might hiss in the sunlight.
